The 'Youth' competition is for anyone born 2012 or later.

The 'Adult' competition is for anyone born 2011 or earlier.

The Youth Redpoint Round is from 8 AM - 11 AM and Finals for Youth Advanced (Top 6 competitors in each Advanced category) will be at 6:30 PM, directly before Adult Open Finals. Based on your flash grade, choose which category* suits you best.

Youth Categories**:

Novice: Flash V1+

Intermediate: Flash V3+

Advanced: Flash V5+

Non-Binary: All levels combined

Para: All levels combined

*We must have a minimum of 10 registrations for each category by October 1st to run your category. If we do not receive 10 registrations by October 1st, you will be contacted to move to your next choice category.

**Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced categories are split into male/female divisions.

USA Climbing - Alaskan Selection Event

Within the Pumpkin Pump this year is the Alaska Selection Event (AKSE) for bouldering for the USA Climbing Youth Series. If you are an Alaskan Youth USAC climber attemping to qualify for USAC Regionals, please sign up for the Pumpkin Pump through the registration link or at the Front Desk and also email andi@alaskarockgym.com to opt in for the Selection Event.

U11, U13, and U15 climbers must climb in the Youth Redpoint Round from 8AM-11AM.

U17, U19, and U20 climbers must climb in Adult Repoind Round One from 11:30AM-2:30PM.
